St Helens Restoration was established, by Jo Mccarthy and his wife, Jane. in 1980.  The showroom and reception area is situated on St Helens Avenue, Swansea, in a building dating from 1880. The building was an off licence for a hundred years before we took it over and we give reference to its origin by the siting of whisky barrels full of flowers outside. The main workshops are situated behind the avenue in a yard and old buildings, again dating back to 1880, which were originally used as stables.

Nearly 30 years after  start up, we now boast a small, but truly expert workforce that undertake any job offered to us.  The real secret of our success is that we can cover all parts of a job under the same roof - repair, polishing and upholstery.

We enjoy a longstanding reputation with disaster recovery companies, loss adjusters and insurance companies.  We cover all of South East and South West Wales, reporting on flood, fire, and accidental damage, on their behalf.  Our transport covers the same geographical area.

Our private customers also come from far and wide.  Digital photography and email has altered the business so that now, customers can get advice and estimates before we commit to see the item. If needed, we can collect the item from your home and deliver it back after the work has been completed, for a small additional cost.
