We have access to a huge range of furniture fittings, much better quality than the offerings in your local DIY superstore.  In the case of antique restoration, we strip the laquer off the handle, and buff it before fitting.  This means the handle will yellow up and look almost indistinguishable from an old example.  We can often utilise new fittings to repair antique originals - a better solution than replacement in many cases
